The Rising Star honor is reserved for top attorneys who are less than 40 years of age or have been in practice fewer than 10 years. The list comprises the top 2.5% of lawyers in a state who meet this criteria. Rising Stars are nominated by members of the prestigious Texas Super Lawyers list, a Thomson Reuters service, which is published annually in October. Candidates are also independently researched and evaluated by their peers.
