The Billing Coordinator reports to the Accounting Manager. This position will be responsible for client billing and related monitoring and reporting.  Other billing related duties and those that support the accounting team and others in the firm.       

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required and 7 years of experience in accounting and billing preferred. This position requires someone with strong communication skills who is detail oriented, can multi-task and prioritize assignments. Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team player.


  • Primary client billing responsibility. Generate and edit client billing proformas and produce client invoices
  • Submit and research client eBilling
  • Answer questions/emails regarding client billings
  • Respond to client audit responses
  • Client billing reporting for CFO, Accounting Manager and attorneys
  • Client billing research and resolution
  • Process all unbilled time/cost write offs
  • Cross train and back up cash receipt research and input, AR write offs, payment histories, client payment account setup, and client Statements of Account
  • Help field inquiries related to other accounting department tasks and inquiries
  • Special projects and other accounting functions as required


  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Must have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word and automated accounting/billing systems
  • Must have general technology proficiency
  • Effective interpersonal skills along with very good problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to show initiative and be adaptable to change
  • Experienced with and able to confiidently and effectively communicate with stakeholders, other management and staff

Education & Experience:

  • Accounting or Finance Degree
  • 7 years of hands-on accounting/billing experience preferred
  • Law firm experience a plus
