The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. This position will be responsible for the general ledger. Other duties will include time and billing related tasks supporting other accounting staff and projects assisting the accounting manager and CFO.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required and 5 years of experience as an accountant preferred. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, can multi-task and prioritize assignments. Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to act as a team player.

• Reconcile bank statements for all bank accounts.
• Balance Cash account daily
• Help field inquiries related to other accounting department tasks, including AP and AR.
• Special projects and other accounting functions as required.
• Prepare Month end financial reports
• Assist in preparing the annual budget
• Back up for Daily Cash Receipts
• Prepare monthly client billings
• Track Capital Assets
• Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
• Assist in converting cash basis financial statement to accrual basis

• Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Must have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, automated accounting/billing.
• Experience with report writing is helpful.
• Effective interpersonal skills along with very good problem solving skills.

Education & Experience:
• Accounting Degree
• 5 years of hands-on accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with automated accounting/billing system and automated
• Strong general ledger experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skill.
