AUSTIN, TEXAS (May 16, 2012) – Attorneys Bruce Kramer and Russell Johnson will be speaking on issues facing the oil and gas industry at the 3rd Annual “Law of Shale Plays” conference to be held at the Hilton Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 6-7, 2012. The conference is hosted by the Institute of Energy Law which was founded in 1959 and counts among its membership many of the world’s leading energy companies and attorneys.
Bruce Kramer, who is a co-chair of the conference, will be speaking on operator’s “best management practices” and how the EPA is embracing the idea of best management practices when it comes to operations in shale plays throughout the country.
Russell Johnson will be speaking on water acquisition issues related to acquiring sufficient water supplies for hydraulic fracturing operations in various parts of the United States which have vastly different state water law ownership doctrines.
