McGinnis Lochridge is pleased to welcome Alixe “Ally” Duplechain to the firm as an associate. Based in the firm’s Austin office, Ally focuses her practice on commercial litigation and appeals, representing businesses, commercial landlords, and government entities in trial and appellate matters.
Ally brings significant experience in complex litigation and appellate advocacy. Her work has included matters involving dispositive motions, appeals, and extraordinary writs, with successful results before both state and federal courts. Among her accomplishments, she helped secure a reversal before the Louisiana Supreme Court and successfully defended against mandamus petitions before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ally earned her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Tulane University Law School, where she served as managing editor of the Tulane Law Review and as a senior fellow for the first-year legal research and writing course. She also earned a Certificate in Civil Law and externed for the Honorable Susie Morgan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University.
Ally’s practice will focus on litigation, oil and gas, and oil and gas litigation.
