McGinnis Lochridge is excited to welcome Kevin Colpoys as an Associate in the firm's Oil & Gas and Oil & Gas Litigation practice groups.
Colpoys focuses his practice on commercial and oil and gas litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he represented landowners, operators, and service companies in Midland, Texas, handling matters involving surface and mineral disputes, condemnation, trespass to try title, and conflicts arising from oilfield operations, service agreements, and property tax challenges. His background in the Permian Basin gives him a practical understanding of the issues that frequently arise in oil and gas disputes.
Colpoys has also worked with a Texas oil and gas organization on legislative and regulatory matters affecting landowners and operators, and gained additional litigation experience at several Texas law firms supporting commercial and energy-related matters.
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from Texas A&M University. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.
