McGinnis Lochridge is pleased to welcome Thomas “Tommy” Tynes to the firm.

Tommy brings more than a decade of experience in energy law, regulatory affairs, and public policy. He advises clients on matters involving electric and gas utilities, energy markets, regulatory compliance, clean technology, administrative law, and local government issues.

His diverse background includes service as a Staff Attorney at the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Deputy Director of Policy and Regulatory Counsel at Tesla, Of Counsel at Herrera & Associates, and most recently, General Counsel and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Santanna Energy Services.

Drawing on experience in private practice, government, and industry, Tommy provides strategic counsel on regulatory compliance, administrative litigation, policy development, and energy market issues. He is also a frequent speaker on energy-related topics and a published author on Texas energy policy.

Tommy earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and his undergraduate degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
