Christian M. Shaffer

Christian Shaffer is an associate in the Houston office, where he represents clients in commercial and energy-related disputes.

He came to the firm from two clerkships that give him both a trial- and appellate-level view of the disputes he handles. He clerked for the Honorable Judge John D. Love of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and for the Honorable Justice John P. Devine of the Supreme Court of Texas.

Christian earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as Lead Articles Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review and received several accolades for his writing and appellate-advocacy skills, including the Law Review's W.L. Penn Award for his student comment, the Dean Darby Dickerson Top Writing Award, induction into the Order of the Barristers, and a national moot court championship that he earned as both an oralist and brief writer. Prior to law school, Christian earned his B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Washington State University.
