Overview

Kevin Colpoys is an associate whose practice focuses on commercial and oil and gas litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, he represented landowners, operators, and service companies in Midland, Texas. His experience includes matters involving surface and mineral disputes, condemnation issues, trespass to try title, and conflicts that arise from oilfield operations, service agreements, and tax related property challenges. His background in the Permian Basin gives him a practical understanding of the issues that frequently develop in oil and gas disputes.

He has also worked with an oil and gas organization in Texas on legislative and regulatory issues affecting landowners and operators, and gained additional experience at several Texas law firms supporting commercial and energy related litigation.

Kevin earned his J.D., cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
