Three McGinnis Lochridge attorneys were honored with 2022 Austin Black Business Journal Lawyer Awards.

Presented annually, the Most Influential and Up & Coming Lawyer Awards recognizes Black professionals in the legal field who have achieved professional excellence and have actively paved the way to success for others.

Nelia Robbi was named one of the 2022 Austin Black Business Journal’s Most Influential Lawyers. Nelia is a civil litigator and appellate attorney with a diverse representative practice. She is also a lecturer at Texas Law, where she teaches legal writing and appellate advocacy.

Lecelle Clarke was named one of the 2022 Austin Black Business Journal’s Up & Coming Lawyers. Lecelle focuses her practice on environmental law (air, water, and waste) and litigation on behalf of private industry clients. She also represents local government entities in a general counsel capacity, and electric and water utilities concerning diverse administrative and regulatory matters.

Each year, Austin Black Business Journal recognizes the ten best lawyers in Central Texas through a multiphase selection process involving peer & public nomination, independent research and peer evaluation. The Texas lawyers who receive the highest totals during this selection process are further recognized as the Top Ten Super Lawyers.

Ashton Cuberbatch was named one of the 2022 Top 10 Central Texas Super Lawyers by the Austin Black Business Journal. Ashton has practiced law for more than 30 years. His current primary practice includes employment law, including counseling, investigations and litigation, representing clients with matters before local governmental departments; and commercial litigation.

These deserving honorees will be celebrated at the Achievements in Black Excellence Gala in Austin on November 19.
