Overview
Sheyla Rodman represents individuals and businesses in a broad range of disputes, including contract, personal injury, business tort and real estate matters.
She is an associate in the Litigation group in the Austin office. She came to the firm through two summers as a summer associate, researching legal issues, drafting responses to motions, and attending depositions, hearings and client meetings.
A native of Laredo, Sheyla is fluent in Spanish and brings a firsthand understanding of the South Texas communities and businesses the firm serves.
She spent the spring of 2026 as a judicial intern to the Honorable David A. Ezra of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, which gave her a view of litigation from the bench before she began practicing it.
She earned her J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Texas Law Review, Assistant Conference Editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, and a student member of the Lloyd Lochridge American Inn of Court. Her student note on when the right to record the police counts as clearly established law is forthcoming in the Texas Law Review.
